Stunning Split - View Mountain Lodge is Perched Among Norway’s Snowy Ski Slopes

The mountain lodge is wrapped in a continuous timber skin that will age beautifully to an elegant gray patina. The interior is lined with virtually knot-free joinery timber to complete the clean and sleek finish. Built for a family of four, the lodge’s main rectangular body houses four bedrooms with a small annex built out on the western side to accommodate additional guests. The youth lounge and an overhead mezzanine for young children are located on the east end of the narrow rectangular volume.




To follow the natural topography, the extruded, split view structure covers two floors: a spacious living room is located in the basement and a kitchen, dining room, and two separate living spaces are located up above. In addition to the annex, each separated split volume is faced with extruded, fully glazed end walls. Additional gable-shaped windows look out from each of the bedrooms and into the pine-covered ski slopes.
