Bohinj – a Beautiful Valley and a Lake Embedded in the Mountains, Slovenia
A true jewel of the valley is Lake Bohinj – the largest one in the country. In summer it attracts numerous visitors, who love to bathe, boat and do other water sports here. In winter the mountain resorts welcome adventurous skiers. Bohinj is surrounded with various towns and villages with friendly locals, hotels and restaurants, that provide all the required facilities.
Why to go there?: A very beautiful site with diverse activities, great tourist facilities and friendly locals.
When to go there?: Anytime – the visitors can enjoy seasonal activities all year round.
How to get there?: Easy access by train and bus from Ljubljana or Nova Gorica. The international airport Brnik of Ljubljana is only 50 km away. Other airports nearby include one in Klagenfurt (Austria) which is 70 km away and another in Trieste (Italy) – 200 km away.
