This Terrified Dog Fell Into An Icy Pond… His Daring Rescue Was Captured On Film.

When winter comes around and it seems like the entire world is covered in ice, people who live near large or small bodies of water know to exercise caution. After all, even if the ice looks thick, it might not be -- but unfortunately, dogs don't always get the memo.

This dog, named Lady, fell through the ice in a lake in Louisville, Kentucky. When it became clear that she wasn't going to be able to get out on her own, her owners decided to rescue her -- but they had to figure out how to do so without falling in themselves. The video below captures the creative and slightly harrowing rescue, and you just might be on the edge of your seat watching this.
