Panoramic Views, Transparent Paths and Hanging Cliffs on Tianmen Mountain, China
The site, also known as Heaven Gate Mountain due to its unique cave – a natural arch, is found in Tianmen Mountain National Park – the most popular attraction in Hunan Province. The 1519 m (4983 ft) tall mountain provides a real adventure for the visitors: from the highest cable car ride, transparent Walk of Faith, to the famous road of 99 Bends.
Visitors can have a really breathtaking walk on the hanging cliffs – trails stretched along the vertical walls of the mountain. There is also a hanging bridge that connects two peaks and looks magical in winter. However it is easy to navigate the mountain, since there are great roads and cable rides that will take you from the ground to the summit quickly.
Why to go there?: Wonderful views open from above – it is a real national treasure. The park features numerous rocky pillars, while Tianmen provides great trails and the highest cable ride in the world.
