Ice Pillars, Stalactites and Climbers’ Heaven in Haffner Creek, Canada
The whole park is a wonderful nature retreat, considered a World Heritage Site. Haffner Creek is a very picturesque site, which is loved by the climbers, as well as photographers. The steep wall challenges experienced professionals as well as beginners.
The site features ice pillars, that create its unique signature. Haffner Creek has a lot of different routes, that suit any level climbers. The mountain guides prepare ropes and help the beginners. Caveman cave, which is located a little further from Haffner Creek, is a spectacular cave, filled with stalactites, that also tempt adventurers to climb them.
Why to go there?: Amazing landscapes, unspoiled nature, a lot of climbing routes.
When to go there?: Anytime. For the ice pillars go in winter.
How to get there?: From Banff take Hwy 1 to Castle Junction, then Hwy 93 to the Marble Canyon parking lot.
